Hey! That's Me!

I woke up today to a fabulous email. The talented artist Darryl Berger has done a portrait of me! I love his style and I love, love, love this portrait. I can honestly say that when I look at this portrait, I feel that I am beautiful and I have never said that or felt that about myself. I am including the photo that he used as the inspiration for the painting. What a great surprise! You can find more of his work at his Etsy shop at http://www.redhanded.etsy.com

I love it so much! It is so "merle" and this man doesn't even know me! Strange stuff but life is odd!

Not so strange, really. You posted that photo because you wanted to share it. It's a great picture. I need pictures like that for my work ... not just for reference but for inspiration. So I painted you. In the end, I'm just glad that you liked it so much. (And give yourself credit: you take a wonderful photograph.)

red-handed, glad that my photos can be of use in your art. i like flickr-i see it as a place to file away the results of my need to create-someday i may look at them differently. it is great to see something like your work because it is a fresh perspective.

thanks catherder, i don't know how creepella is but i bet she is cool!

She was the Flintstones neighbor, Creepella Gruesome..she had orange hair with bangs, you couldnt see her eyes..just her green skin and huge nose sticking out lol. The first creepella pics drawn for it though looked more like cruella deville..i will post a pic on lj for ya.
